7 Keys To Make God Hear and Answer Your Prayers
Prayer is talking to God, who is your Heavenly Father, and your God.
The LORD says in John 5:14 and 15 "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him."
God loves you to talk to Him. He's never too busy to talk to, any time of day or night! When Jesus died on the cross of Calvary and was resurrected and went to Heaven, God sent the Holy Spirit (John 14:16). The Holy Spirit is the Helper and Comforter. The Holy Spirit lives in every true believer (Romans 8:14), so they can each have a personal relationship with the LORD and talk to Him 24/7, anywhere, any time! Hallelujah!
You can make your prayers powerful and achieve results every time. You can take steps to ensure that God always hears your prays, and answers them. Here are seven keys to making your prayers powerful.
Here Are 7 Keys To Make God Hear and Answer Your Prayers
(1) Receive the LORD Jesus Christ Into Your Heart, And Make Him Your Lord and Saviour
The Word of God says in Romans 10:19 "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (New International Version). Once you believe by faith that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and God rose Him from the dead after three days, and He lives forever, and then you ask Him to forgive your sins, come into your heart, and to be your Lord and Saviour, Jesus will make you brand new.
This is what the Bible says about that:
2 Corinthians 5:17 (New King James Version)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
When you surrender to Jesus, and become a follower of Jesus Christ, He will never leave you.
Hebrews 13:5 (New King James Version)
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
You also receive the right to ask (pray) in the Name of Jesus. When you become a believer.
John 16:23-24 (New International Version) 23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
You don't have to struggle through life by yourself anymore! And best of all, God the Father will hear your prayers from the moment you surrender your life to Jesus, and make Him your Lord and Saviour, God will no longer be angry with your sin. Jesus will have paid the price, and God will see you from that moment as a new person--the brother or sister of Jesus! And He will love you just as much!
You can become a true child of God right now. You can do that by praying the Salvation Prayer out loud and mean it. Jesus is always ready to accept you.
(2) Thank and Worship Him
Psalm 100:4 says to enter His gates with thanksgiving and enter His courts with praise. He is the Great King of all kings, and He loves a thankful heart! You can read more about the Power of Thanksgiving
Before you present your requests to God, always thank and worship Him from your heart.
(3) Go Through the Bible and Find Prayers That Are Already Written Out, such as (in no particular order):
Neh. 1:5-11
Micah 7:18-20
Eph. 3:14-23
Col. 1:9-12
Jer. 33:3
Hos. 10:12
Zech. 10:12
Mal. 3:10
I Thess. 3:11,12.
Pray these or whatever Scriptures God shows you out loud and you'll soon connect more than ever with your loving Father in Heaven.
(4) Pray God's Word Back to Him from Singular Verses.
There is great power in praying the Word of God aloud, back to Him! He loves it, and besides touching His heart when you do so, you are getting more of His Word into you, thus strengthening your faith!
You can take most verses of the Bible and make them personal. It helps to use an easy-to-understand literal translation of the Bible, such as the Amplified, the New International Version, or the Revised Standard Version. The LORD will show you which one(s) to use!
(5) Pray In the Heavenly Language of the Holy Spirit, Which Comes From Being Filled by His Wonderful Spirit When You Ask, After You are Born Again
Eph. 3:19
Eph. 5:18
Acts 2:2)
This means praying in tongues. When you pray in tongues (pray in the Spirit), the Holy Spirit helps you pray, and because the Holy Spirit knows the mind of God, He helps you pray prayers that get answers from God.
Here is what the Word of God says:
Romans 8:26 (New International Version)
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
You receive a baptism of the Holy Spirit when you become born again (when you surrender your life to Jesus, and make Him your Lord and Saviour). Simply ask Jesus to baptise you with the Holy Spirit. Or you can go to your church if it is a pentecostal church and speak to your pastor. Tell him or her that you want to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The pastor will pray with you or will ask a team to pray with you to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
(6) Find the Bible Verses Where God Promises You What You Want to Pray About
Remember we looked at 1 John 5: 14 - 15 that tells us that if we pray according to His will, He hears us. The Will of God is found in the Word of God. Therefore study the scriptures and find the will of God and promises of God. Then ask what you want from God and present the Word as His promise.
It is kind of like presenting a promissory note. A promissory note is a financial document that contains a written promise by one party (or the note's issuer or maker) to pay another party a definite sum of money, either on-demand or at a specified future date. The Word of God (the Bible) is God's promissory note. So in prayer, present it to Him by showing Him the exact places in the scriptures where He promised you a certain thing.
