Do You Feel Imprisoned or Trapped? Here Is How to Break Free

Do You Feel Imprisoned or Trapped

Sometimes people feel trapped, and sometimes they feel imprisoned. That feeling where a person is not physically restrained or incarcerated, yet they just feel confined in a small space, held back, restrained and they can’t seem to break free. Sometimes they even dream about being in a prison, prison cell or confined in a place. Such a person may be spiritually trapped or imprisoned.

We need to realise that the spiritual realm controls the physical realm, and a spiritual action manifests in the physical. Let’s look in the Bible at Luke 13: 10 -16. Jesus was teaching in the synagogue when He saw a woman who was bent over and could not raise herself up. And the account in Luke 13: 12 – 13 says:

When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

Regarding the same woman, Jesus said in verse 16:

"Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”

The woman was bent over physically, but Jesus said that Satan had bound her. Satan had bound her and it manifested as a disability. Things happen in the spiritual realm and they manifest in the physical realm in different forms. Therefore a person who feels trapped or imprisoned, could actually be spiritually imprisoned or trapped without knowing it. Some of the symptoms of being trapped or imprisoned spiritually is when a person goes round in circles but makes little or no progress in life or in an area of life. Another is that they try to achieve things which naturally they should be able to do it, but they struggle and still fail.

There is a way out of that imprisonment. You need a powerful force and Jesus is the answer. You see He has the Name above every name. In Philippians 2:9 it is written:

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name”.

When Jesus was crucified, died and resurrected, He said in Matthew 28:18 (King James Version):

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth”.

So you see that all power belongs to Jesus. It doesn’t matter how a person has been imprisoned, trapped, bound or grounded spiritually, or for how long, Jesus has the power to set them free. Jesus is the answer. Next, we will look at the steps to take to be free.

How To Get Your Solution

1. Surrender Your Life to Jesus

The starting point is to surrender your life to Jesus and ask Him to come into your heart and be the Lord of your life. He cannot be Lord of your life and you remain under the control of satanic forces. As a matter of fact, Jesus came to the earth and sacrificed His life to redeem us from bondage of satan. Jesus said in John 10 verse 10:

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (NIV version).

The Bible also tells us:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” John 3: 16 (NIV version).

I"f you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10: 9 (NIV version)

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”. 2 Corinthians 5: 17 (King James Version)

Jesus is waiting for you. If you surrender your life to Him and ask Him to come into your heart, He will do so right now. If you would like to surrender your life to Jesus for Him to become the Lord of your life, click HERE to pray the Salvation Prayer.

2. Ask for Angelic Assistance

There was a time when Apostle Peter was locked up in jail and God sent His angel to bring him out (Read Acts 12: 1 – 11).

Now that you have surrendered your life to Jesus, you are a true child of the Most High God. You are now an heir of God and joint-heir with Jesus. Romans 8: 17 says:

“Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory”.

And as a child of God and heir of God, angels of God are sent to minister to you. Look at Hebrews 1:14:

“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”

Angels are available to serve you and care for you. If you ask God to send angels to bring you out of every trap, imprisonment or confinement, God will release them to go and do as you have asked.

How can we be sure of this? We can be sure of this because as an heir of God and a joint-heir with Jesus, you have access to what Jesus has access to. Jesus said in Matthew 26 verse 53:

“Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?”

If Jesus can ask God and God would release angels to serve Him, you can also ask God and He will release angels to bring you out from every imprisonment or trap. Remember the Bible said in Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given you”. Jesus also said in John 16:23 – 24:

“In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete”.

So go ahead and ask God to send His angels to release you from that trap, confinement or imprisonment. When asking/praying, remind God of His promises/His Word by recounting to Him His promises as stated in the scriptures above.

Believe That You Receive It and You Will Receive It.

God always come through for His children. Follow the steps presented above and we trust that you will have a testimony. God bless you.
