How Can I Find Peace?
Would you like to find peace? Or you would like to have peace in your heart and peace in your life? Jesus is the Prince of Peace.
The Bible says in Isaiah 9 verse 6:
“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”. (New King James Version)
Only Jesus can give you peace. Only Jesus Christ can bring peace in your heart, peace in your life, and peace in your home. As the Prince of Peace, when Jesus steps in, He establishes peace. Jesus said in Revelation 3 verse 20:
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me”. (New King James Version)
If you invite Jesus in, He will come into your life and He will bring peace.
In Apostle Paul’s letter to the Philippians, he talked about the peace of God that passes understanding and he clarified that the peace comes through Jesus Christ.
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”. Philippians 4:7
When you invite Jesus in to your heart and make Him the Lord of your life, He becomes your Shepherd. He guides you and leads you.
The twenty third Psalm says:
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters”. Psalm 23: 1 – 2 (New King James Version)
When Jesus is leading you, He leads you beside quiet waters, not turbulent waters. He makes you lie down in green pastures where you find rest and sustenance.
If you want to find peace, have peace that passes understanding and have Jesus lead you and guide you, then open the door for Jesus and invite Him into your life and your heart, and ask Him to be your Lord and Saviour. If you would like to do that, click HERE to pray the Salvation Prayer.
When you surrender your life to Christ Jesus, you become His disciple, a believer, and you now have the authority to use His Name. The authority is only given to disciples i.e. His followers. See what Jesus said in Mark 16 verses 17 – 18:
“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (New King James Version)
Jesus also said in John 14:13:
“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son”. (New King James Version)
There is power in the Name of Jesus. Everything bows to the Name of Jesus. That is why commands are given in the Name of Jesus and all forces, powers, spirits, authorities obey. They have no choice.
Here is what the Bible says about Jesus in Philippians 2 verses 9 to 11:
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”. (King James Version)
All things obey the Name of Jesus and as a child of God (a believer, a person who has given their life to Jesus) you can command the storms and raging wind and waves in your life to stop.
Command it and say “In the Name of Jesus Christ, I command you storms and raging wind to stop. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I command peace to reign in ............... (so and so situation).
“In the Name of Jesus Christ, I command the turbulence in my life to stop, and I command peace to reign”.
Whatever the situation, as a disciple of Jesus Christ, you have authority to use His Name to make commands and it will obey because Jesus is the Name above every Name.
